Privacy Statement
WebF1 Games is designed to collect as little data as practical while letting you track scores, join leaderboards, and play multiplayer games.
No third-party trackers
WebF1 Games does not use third-party analytics, advertising trackers, or tracking cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any other third-party tracking service. There are no trackers following you across the web.
Account data
When you create an account, we store your username, email address, display name, and a hashed password. Your email is used only for account verification and password resets. We never sell or share your account data.
Game scores and leaderboards
Your game results are stored so they can appear on leaderboards and in your own score history. This includes your best scores per game mode, match results, and multiplayer stats. Display names are shown publicly on leaderboards.
Local storage
Single-player high scores and preferences are stored locally in your browser using localStorage. This data never leaves your device unless you submit a score to a leaderboard.
We use SendGrid to send verification and password-reset emails. When we send an email, the email address you provided is passed to SendGrid for delivery. We do not use SendGrid for marketing or tracking.
Hosting
WebF1 Games is hosted on a third-party hosting provider. Like most hosting providers, it may process technical request information (such as IP addresses) needed to deliver the service.
Cookies
We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party cookies of any kind.
Multiplayer and lobbies
When you join a lobby, your display name and game actions are visible to other players in that lobby. Lobby and match data is stored on our servers so games can resume after interruptions and results can be recorded.
Data retention
Your account and score data is kept as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the account settings page, which removes your account and all associated score and match data.
Children
WebF1 Games is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has registered, contact us and we will delete the account.
Changes to this statement
We may update this Privacy Statement from time to time. Continued use of WebF1 Games after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated statement.
